QD Adapters & Transition Fittings

Every liquid-cooled row has the same last-mile problem: the UQD termination doesn't match the manifold, the hose, or the test rig. These are the 316L transition fittings that close the gap - turned in Van Alstyne on our own machining and turning centers, passivated per ASTM A967, then cleaned, capped, and bagged for coolant service.

High-mix turned adapters that connect UQD and UQDB quick-disconnect terminations to the rest of a direct-to-chip loop: hose barb, NPT, and BSPP transitions, plus blanking plugs for pressure testing and unused ports. Everything is designed around the OCP ORV3 ecosystem and PG25 coolant chemistry - 316L stainless on every wetted surface, peroxide-cured EPDM seals, no brass, no plated mystery metal.

The incumbents quote 12-plus weeks on these parts because per-SKU volumes are small. Small-batch 316L turning is exactly what our shop is built for, so we run them in-house and ship in days. We state what each part is designed and tested to, and we don't claim certifications we don't hold.

UQD04 to 3/8 in Hose Barb Adapter

Turned from 316L bar on our own turning centers, this adapter threads into the G 1/4 BSPP female termination of a UQD04 coupling and transitions to a 3/8 in multi-barb for PG25-rated hose. The BSPP joint seals on a peroxide-cured EPDM O-ring boss seal. Passivated per ASTM A967.

UQD06 to 1/2 in Male NPT Transition

316L SSUQD06NPT

Bridges a UQD06 coupling termination to NPT-ported manifolds, gauges, and pressure-test rigs. The UQD side is G 3/8 BSPP male with an EPDM boss seal; the NPT end is cut per ASME B1.20.1. On the NPT joint, use a low-shed anaerobic thread sealant rated for glycol service - loose PTFE tape has no business in a coolant loop. Solid 316L, passivated per ASTM A967.

The female-NPT counterpart for UQD06 terminations: thread it into the coupling, then land a 1/2 in NPT gauge, sensor, drain valve, or fill fitting in the female port. Commissioning agents use this one constantly for temporary instrumentation during loop flush and pressure test. 316L body, EPDM boss seal on the BSPP end, passivated per ASTM A967.

Steps a UQD08 termination up to a G 3/4 BSPP manifold or CDU port with parallel threads and EPDM boss seals on both ends, so the entire joint seals on elastomer instead of thread sealant. This is the clean way to move between BSPP port sizes in a PG25 loop. Machined from 316L bar, full-bore, passivated per ASTM A967.

Positive-sealing blanking plug for UQD04-size G 1/4 BSPP ports: unused manifold stub-outs, spare coupling terminations, and instrumentation ports during hydro and leak-down testing. Seals on an EPDM O-ring boss seal, so it can be installed and removed repeatedly without dressing threads. 316L, passivated per ASTM A967, and cheap enough to leave installed.
